CAN YOU DEFEND YOUR FAITH?

The sad truth is most Christians can't even defend their faith because they themselves are ignorant of God's word.

Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. -- Colossians 2:8

WHY WE NEED THE ARMOR OF GOD?

Critics of Christianity are becoming more and more vocal recently. Especially with the advent of technology where there is an easy access to information, most of these loud-mouth non-believers can launch their attack on Christians straightforwardly and by the comfort of internet can conveniently accuse faithful believers as “ignorant,” “stupid,” “brainwashed,” or otherwise suggest that those who have faith are less intelligent than those who do not. When a Christian puts up a good fight by standing up intelligently for his faith, the terms change to “bigot,” “extremist,” or “zealot.”
The sad truth is most Christians can't even defend their faith because they themselves are ignorant of God's word. 1 Peter 3:15 says
“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
There are two things a Christian should do to stand up for Christ -- Live a life according to Christ Word and also grow our own knowledge of Him. In fact, most unbelievers or atheist themselves have read the entire Bible, word for word, selecting ammunition to hurl against Christians. So, it is best for Christian to equip himself with The Full Armor of God (Ephesian 6:10) so that he can defend and counter the attack of the enemy.
This is what I will try to share to you thru this blogsite....how we can fight back. Actually, it is the other way around, it was the unbelievers ignorance why they attack Christians, "My people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge..." Hosea 4:6
